Netflix Strikes a Big Deal for the Digital Rights of ‘Bari’?

Mega Prince Varun Tej is gearing up for his next film, Bari. The actor, who suffered an injury a while ago, has undergone surgery and is currently recovering. He is expected to return to the sets after completing his rest period. Yadu Vamsi, who gained recognition with Committee Kurrollu, is directing the film. Set against a rural backdrop, the movie revolves around volleyball and explores a sports-based storyline. Preparations are underway to begin filming in November, and Varun Tej is reportedly undergoing special training to suit his role.

Meanwhile, an interesting update about the film has emerged. According to industry reports, Netflix has acquired the digital rights to Bari for a substantial amount even before filming begins. The reported deal is being linked to the confidence in Niharika Konidela's Pink Elephant Pictures banner. Varun Tej's father, Nagababu, is expected to appear in a key role, while Anoop Dev is composing the music. The makers are reportedly planning to begin filming soon and release the movie in the second half of 2027. However, the digital rights deal and release plans are yet to receive official confirmation.
