My Role in This Movie Is Very Different: Priya Bhavani Shankar

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Irumudi’, in which Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead. Directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 21. Ahead of the release, Priya interacted with the media and shared interesting details about the movie and her character.

Priya revealed that she plays Kaveri, a regular middle-class homemaker dealing with a troublesome alcoholic husband and a mischievous daughter. She said the character is close to real life and that this is her first time portraying such a role. Although ‘Irumudi’ is an action thriller, she said the film also has strong emotional elements, with the father-daughter relationship expected to be one of its major highlights.

Speaking about working with Ravi Teja, Priya praised his exceptional energy and said it is difficult to match his pace. She added that audiences will get to see Ravi Teja in a completely different and previously unseen avatar in the film. Priya also appreciated director Shiva Nirvana for the way he narrated the story and shaped the characters.

Talking about her upcoming projects, Priya Bhavani Shankar revealed that she is currently shooting for the second season of ‘Dhootha’. She also said that ‘Demonte Colony 3’ is ready for release.
