Actress Rashmika Mandanna has revealed that she has faced trolling over one issue or another ever since entering the film industry. Responding to criticism about her South Indian accent in Hindi films, she said there was nothing wrong with speaking naturally in the accent she grew up with. Appearing on the talk show Koffee with Karan alongside Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika explained that her acting, language and dialogue delivery had been criticised at various stages of her career. However, she has never allowed such comments to restrict her opportunities or stop her from exploring films in different languages.
Rashmika also spoke about the attention she gives to dubbing while working in multiple languages. She said she would have no objection if a director felt that another dubbing artist’s voice suited her character better. However, she noted that her directors had so far preferred to have her dub for her own roles. Although dubbing in several languages can be challenging, she said she feels happy and proud whenever she succeeds in doing it herself. Her remarks reflect her determination to pursue opportunities across film industries without allowing criticism of her accent or language to limit her career.
