Actress Mrunal Thakur, who won widespread recognition with the blockbuster Sita Ramam, has opened up about her emotional connection with Pooja Meri Jaan. The film has finally reached audiences through a direct-to-OTT release after a delay of nearly four years. In a recent interview, Mrunal said that everything happens at the right time and described the film as her first child. She added that the memories of filming remain fresh, despite the years that have passed since production wrapped up.
Mrunal recalled changing her phone twice but still remembering the moments captured during the shoot, including the strict diet she followed at the time. She also explained that the film explores a sensitive social issue that deserves continued discussion. According to the actress, several young men contacted her after watching the movie and said they had understood that when a woman says no, it means no. Their responses gave her a sense of fulfilment. Reflecting on public scrutiny of women, she also remarked that when people have nothing new to say, they sometimes dig into a person’s past, indirectly addressing speculation surrounding her own life.
