Mohun Vadlapathla Wins Telugu Film Producers Council Vice-President Election

Mohun Vadlapathla has registered a decisive victory in the 2026 elections of the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC), winning the Vice-President post with the highest majority among the four candidates in the fray. The election saw Vadlapathla compete against Jeevitha, Damodhar Prasad and Bharat Chowdary. The Mana Panel also emerged dominant in the Executive Committee elections, securing 12 of the 15 available positions. The result has strengthened the panel’s presence in the producers’ body and placed greater responsibility on Vadlapathla to work towards resolving producers’ concerns and safeguarding the interests of the Telugu film industry.

An NRI filmmaker and producer, Vadlapathla has maintained a strong association with Telugu cinema through his work in direction and production. His psychological crime suspense thriller M4M (Motive For Murder), starring American actress Jo Sharma, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival ahead of its release and went on to receive more than 15 international awards, according to the film’s team. The makers announced M4M-2: Killer Games in San Francisco in July 2026, with Vadlapathla and Jo Sharma set to continue their association with the sequel. He has also produced films including Mallepuvvu, Mental Krishna and Kalavaramaye Madilo under Mohan Media Creations. His election as TFPC Vice-President has now generated interest in the initiatives he will undertake for producers and the wider Telugu film industry.
