Missed a Chance With That Star Director.. I’m Still Waiting - Suriya

Actor Suriya has previously spoken openly about missing an opportunity to collaborate with filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. According to reports, Rajamouli had approached Suriya for a significant role, but the actor decided not to take it up at the time as he was not fully convinced about the character. Suriya later described the decision as a missed opportunity and expressed his willingness to work with Rajamouli in the future.

The subject came up again when Rajamouli attended the pre-release event of Suriya’s Kanguva in Hyderabad in 2024. Rajamouli said that he, rather than Suriya, felt he had missed an opportunity to work with the actor and praised Suriya for choosing stories based on their merit. Suriya responded by saying that he had “missed the train” and was still waiting at the railway station for another opportunity to work with the filmmaker.
