Megastar as Kaka.. Mass gangster drama directed by Bobby

Strong buzz is doing the rounds in Tollywood regarding Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film with Waltair Veerayya director Bobby Kolli. Reports suggest that the makers are considering a powerful title such as Kaka or Kakaji for the film.

After scoring a major success with Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu directed by Anil Ravipudi, Chiranjeevi is now gearing up for his 158th film, tentatively referred to as Mega 158, under Bobby’s direction. Industry sources indicate that the title Kaka is almost locked.

Chiranjeevi is expected to be seen in a commanding gangster role in this mass entertainer. Director Bobby is reportedly planning to recreate the vintage mass look reminiscent of Chiranjeevi’s iconic films from the 1980s such as Khaidi and Jwala.

While the film is rooted in the gangster genre, emotional depth will play a key role, particularly the father–daughter relationship. Actress Kriti Shetty, who rose to fame with Uppena, is said to be in consideration for the daughter’s role.

Priyamani is likely to play the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi, while Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is expected to appear in a crucial role. There is also speculation that Bollywood filmmaker and actor Anurag Kashyap may be roped in as the antagonist.

Currently, director Bobby and his team are working on the script in Dubai. Regular shooting for the film is expected to commence from March 2026.
