A fire broke out at Mumbai’s Goregaon Film City on Monday, October 5, after flames erupted at around 4:02 pm inside a Production Control Room unit in a temporary shooting structure behind Prime Focus Studio. Electrical wiring, air-conditioning units, cables and shooting equipment were damaged in the blaze. The Mumbai Fire Brigade and other emergency services responded swiftly and brought the fire under control within about 50 minutes. No injuries were reported.
Initial reports suggested that the fire had broken out on the set of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. However, subsequent reports clarified that the blaze occurred in a temporary structure outside the film’s main set. The nearby teams of ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga 2’ and ‘MTV Hustle 5’ were also safe, with no casualties reported. The incident has renewed calls for stronger fire-safety measures at Mumbai’s busy Film City.
