

Suri and Suhas-starrer ‘Mandadi’, directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendi and produced by Elred Kumar, is turning out to be a major box-office success. Released in Tamil and Telugu along with other markets, the film has received an impressive response from audiences, particularly in Tamil Nadu. The performances of Suri, Suhas, Mahima Nambiar and Sathyaraj have emerged as one of the film’s biggest strengths, while the boat sequences and high-voltage racing scenes have added to the excitement. Kathir’s visuals, GV Prakash Kumar’s background score and the action choreography by Peter Hein, Dileep Subbarayan and Mahesh Mathew have further elevated the film’s scale.
The film has now achieved a major milestone by collecting more than ₹100 crore gross in Tamil Nadu alone and crossing ₹150 crore gross worldwide, according to the figures reported for the movie. ‘Mandadi’ has also received praise from prominent names such as Rajinikanth and Vetrimaaran, and is being regarded as the biggest blockbuster in the careers of Suri and Suhas. Set against a coastal backdrop, the story revolves around fishermen, friendship, rivalry, revenge and traditional boat racing. Suri plays Muthu Kali, while Suhas portrays Satta Puli, with their characters’ complicated past forming the emotional core of the narrative.
