RS Infotainment’s 16th production, Mandaadi, directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, is shaping up as an intense sports-action drama starring Soori and Suhas. With grand-scale production, strong regional flavour, striking visuals and powerful performances, the film is generating high expectations. Suhas makes his debut as a full-fledged antagonist, adding a unique edge to the story. The team has already completed 70% of the shoot, aiming for a Summer 2026 theatrical release. Mandaadi is being touted as the biggest and most ambitious film of Soori’s career, featuring a role designed to leave a lasting impact on the audience.
A major highlight of the film is the high-intensity sea action sequences. Soori performed all the stunts himself, without a body double and underwent six months of rigorous training for the sailboat racing episodes. His dedication ensures authentic, adrenaline-filled action on screen. The film, releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, targets a pan-Indian audience with its rooted storytelling, universal emotions and large-scale production. The sailboat racing sequences are expected to be the standout attraction, offering a never-before-seen thrill in Indian cinema.
To match global standards, the team brought in international action experts and advanced sports-camera technology. Top action choreographer Peter Hein worked on the film for nearly 60 days, designing intense, realistic and emotion-driven stunts. With an estimated budget of ₹75 crore, Mandaadi promises a visually spectacular and high-octane cinematic experience. The official release date will be announced once the remaining shoot is completed.
