

Renowned filmmaker Ramesh Varma has successfully wrapped up the shoot of his maiden production venture titled “Kokkoroko.” Presented by Neeladri Production and produced under the RV Film House banner, the film marks the directorial debut of Srinivas Vasanthala in Telugu cinema. Set against the backdrop of traditional cockfighting, “Kokkoroko” is an anthology featuring five distinct narratives. With a compelling story and screenplay by Ramesh Varma, the film promises strong visuals and an emotionally engaging narrative, and is slated for release in 2026.

A notable highlight of the film is the cinematic debut of talented artiste Manaswini Balabommalu, who will be seen in a guest role. A trained theatre performer, Manaswini has portrayed key roles such as Jo in Little Women and Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. She is also skilled in traditional Perini dance and Carnatic music. The makers stated that “Kokkoroko” aims to encourage fresh talent while delivering a visually rich and emotionally resonant cinematic experience.
