At the press meet of the upcoming pan-India film Pallichattambi, producer and distributor Bunny Vas made some interesting and bold comments about the film industry. The movie stars Tovino Thomas and is directed by Dijo Jose Antony, with Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. It is produced by Noufal, Brijeesh and others under World Wide Films and C Cube Bros Entertainments. The film is set for a grand release on April 10 in five languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
Speaking at the event, Bunny Vas said he was impressed by the scale and quality of the film after watching it in Kochi. He mentioned that it feels like a fresh commercial entertainer, something different from the usual concept-based Malayalam films. However, his comments on the film business caught attention. He stated that producers in Malayalam cinema often earn better theatrical revenue compared to Telugu films, and advised young producers to be careful before stepping into Telugu film production.
He also praised actor Tovino Thomas for his performance and said it reminded him of legendary actor Mohanlal. Bunny Vas appreciated actress Kayadu Lohar and predicted that she would gain even more popularity among Telugu audiences after this film. He concluded by saying that cinema today has no language barriers and bringing more films from other industries into Telugu will help improve distribution and theatre systems. He also hinted that the title and poster of Allu Arjun’s film with Atlee will be released on April 8.
