

Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce Chairman Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud is producing and directing a new film titled “Mahila Kabaddi” under his RK Films banner. The movie features Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team Vice-Captain Pooja Narwal, Coach Srinivas Reddy, actors Suman, Aksa Khan, Tulasi and seven real kabaddi players in important roles. The film’s details were revealed at a press meet in Hyderabad attended by the movie team.

Coach Srinivas Reddy said that Pooja Narwal, a Gold Medalist in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup and he himself are part of the cast. He added that women’s kabaddi is growing rapidly in India and the upcoming Women’s Pro Kabaddi League will open new opportunities for female players. Pooja Narwal shared that kabaddi has been her passion since childhood and she feels proud to be part of a film that celebrates women’s sports.
Director and producer Dr. RK Goud, a former kabaddi player himself, said the movie tells the inspiring story of a poor village girl who overcomes hardships to achieve national and international success in kabaddi. The film will be made in both Telugu and Hindi, with Suman, Amani, Indraja and Aksa Khan playing key roles. The script and songs, sung by Mangli and Madhu Priya, have been completed and shooting will begin soon. Suman plays a father who supports his daughter’s kabaddi dreams, while Aksa Khan portrays a kabaddi player. The movie promises to inspire young girls to pursue the sport and aims for success at the pan-India level.
