Akhil Akkineni has expressed confidence that ‘Mahendragiri Varahi’ will emerge as a big hit, praising its strong story and content. The film, starring Sumanth and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles, is directed by Santhosh Jagarlapudi and produced by Laxman and Kalipu Madhu. A pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on Sunday, with Akhil and Siddhu Jonnalagadda attending as chief guests. Akhil said that contemporary commercial cinema is increasingly about non-commercial, content-driven storytelling and appreciated the team for bringing an honest film to the audience. He also shared his close bond with Sumanth and praised Siddhu for supporting meaningful cinema despite his own success as a lead actor.
Director Santhosh Jagarlapudi said every actor in the film did more than simply perform, adding that they lived their respective characters. He also highlighted Anup Rubens’ music and Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s role as key elements of the film. Sumanth said the team felt a mysterious force guiding them throughout the making of the film and expressed confidence in the audience’s response. He revealed that the second half, particularly the pre-climax and climax, would be major highlights. Siddhu said producer Madhu was responsible for bringing him into the project and praised the director for executing the story as envisioned. Brahmanandam, Ali, Anup Rubens, Kasarla Shyam and other members of the team also attended the event.
