

Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has already established himself as a successful director, has now created a buzz with his acting debut. His first film as a lead actor, D.C., directed by Arun Matheswaran, initially received a moderate response but gradually gained momentum through strong word of mouth.
The film has now reportedly crossed the ₹100 crore gross mark, giving Lokesh a rare milestone in his acting journey. The achievement has drawn attention as he managed to reach the landmark with his very first film as a hero.
Music director Anirudh is also said to have played an important role in the film’s appeal. Sanjana and Wamiqa Gabbi appear as the female leads, while Sun Pictures backed the project. The combination of the performances, music and storytelling helped the film build momentum after its release. Lokesh, who has already made a strong mark behind the camera, has now added an interesting achievement to his acting career as well.
