Akhil Akkineni's latest blockbuster Lenin, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu and produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni, has emerged as the biggest hit of the actor's career. While the film has received widespread appreciation, especially for its emotional climax, a sequence from the pre-climax has now become the subject of discussion on social media. Several users have shared comparison videos, claiming that the scene closely resembles an iconic emotional sequence from Nandamuri Balakrishna's 1999 film Krishna Babu.
According to the comparisons circulating online, both films feature a similar narrative setup in which the hero is rendered helpless before a tragic incident involving the heroine. While some netizens have criticised the sequence as a direct copy, others have defended it, saying the director merely recreated a classic emotional moment in a contemporary style for today's audience. The discussion has once again brought Krishna Babu back into the spotlight, although the makers of Lenin have not officially responded to the comparisons.
