Young actor Kiran Abbavaram revealed that he had stepped away from a major film project during his career. He said that the upcoming film ‘Sambarala Yeti Gattu’, which currently stars Sai Dharam Tej, was initially offered to him. Kiran explained that he first met director Rohith during ‘SR Kalyanamandapam’, and the story was initially planned as a small-budget film before being developed on a much larger scale.
Kiran said that after facing a series of setbacks with his films, he felt it was not the right time to take up a high-budget project. The film, which was initially planned with a budget of around Rs 2 crore, later expanded to a Rs 70-80 crore scale, making him step away as he felt it did not match his market range. He added that he was happy the project eventually went to Sai Dharam Tej.
