Prabhas' pan-India blockbuster Kalki, directed by Nag Ashwin, created history at the box office with its grand scale and stellar cast featuring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. Although Keerthy Suresh did not appear on screen, she won widespread appreciation by lending her voice to the popular AI vehicle character 'Bujji'. As the film completed two years since its release, the actress shared interesting details about how she became part of the project.
Keerthy revealed that Nag Ashwin had initially offered her a different role, but she declined because she did not feel convinced about the character. A day later, the director contacted her again with the idea of voicing Bujji. She said she immediately found the concept unique and exciting, especially after learning that she only had to provide her voice without participating in the shoot. Looking back, Keerthy believes rejecting the first role turned out to be the right decision, as Bujji became one of the film's most memorable characters and brought her immense recognition.
