There is a common belief that an actress’s career slows down after marriage, but Keerthy Suresh has proved the opposite. Her momentum has only increased post-marriage. While promoting her upcoming film “Revolver Rita,” Keerthy opened up about a long-held dream one that goes beyond acting and into the world of filmmaking. This revelation has now become a hot discussion in the industry.
During an interview, Keerthy mentioned casually that she is currently writing her own script. She revealed that she has always been deeply interested in direction and hopes to stand behind the camera someday. Her desire is not to remain confined to glamorous roles but to establish herself as a creator. If this materialises, Keerthy might soon follow a path similar to Kangana Ranaut and emerge as a “lady director.”
Balancing acting and direction is no easy feat. Very few like Ajay Devgn and Kangana have done it successfully. Keerthy aiming to join that list highlights her versatility and creative strength. After impressing audiences as Savitri in “Mahanati,” her move towards direction, just like Savitri once did, is both coincidental and fascinating.
On her personal life, Keerthy clarified that her husband stays completely away from films. “He won’t come near movies; there’s no question of him acting with me,” she said with a laugh. This shows how neatly she balances her personal and professional life. Though supported by her husband, she is determined to build her career on her own merit.
Keerthy also expressed concern over women’s safety, especially due to the rise of deepfake technology. She said she was terrified after seeing a deepfake clip involving herself and Samantha. With technology advancing rapidly, she feels both celebrities and ordinary women are becoming more vulnerable. She urged for stringent laws in India, similar to those abroad, to protect women from such misuse.
