

Actress Keerthy Suresh has revealed that the guidance and memories shared by Savitri’s daughter, Vijaya Chamundeswari, played a crucial role in helping her portray the legendary actress in the critically acclaimed film "Mahanati." Speaking in a recent interview, Keerthy said that while she carefully studied Savitri’s films to understand her acting style, she wanted to know more about the woman behind the screen. This led her to interact closely with Vijaya Chamundeswari, who shared several personal stories and insights about her mother’s life and personality.
Keerthy explained that these conversations, along with interviews, family anecdotes, and stories shared by Savitri’s admirers, helped her build a deeper understanding of the iconic actress. She recalled listening to a brief radio interview of Savitri, which revealed her natural charm, wit, and warm personality. The actress said all these experiences helped her breathe life into the character.
