

“Kantara Chapter 1” has made a remarkable debut in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, earning over ₹50 crore gross in its first weekend. Despite some mixed reviews and a slight drop on the second day, the film’s buzz—driven by the popularity of the first chapter—kept audiences flocking to theaters.The movie gained special attention as many viewers perceived it as having a devotional and cultural touch, which added to its appeal. Collections surged over the weekend, especially on Sunday, helping the film achieve a record-breaking four-day weekend gross in Telugu states.
In Karnataka, the Kannada version broke new weekend box-office records, coming close to surpassing the phenomenal success of “KGF 2.” The Hindi version also performed impressively, raking in ₹70 crore nett, pushing the overall India gross to around ₹250 crore and the worldwide tally to over ₹310 crore within just four days.
Starring Rishab Shetty, with Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead and Jayaram in a pivotal role, “Kantara Chapter 1” is set to continue its strong run in Kannada and Hindi markets in the days ahead.
