Aiming for a Diwali release, Kiran Abbavaram is all set to entertain audiences once again with K RAMP, hoping to repeat the blockbuster success he achieved last year. The trailer and songs have already created a strong buzz among youth. Producer Rajesh Danda is leaving no stone unturned in promotions, while senior actor Naresh is also actively participating alongside the hero to boost publicity and spread positive talk about the film.
However, this festive season is packed with competition. Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude, Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Telusu Kada, Dhruv Vikram’s Bison, Priyadarshi’s Mitra Mandali, and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thammudu are all releasing around the same time — each belonging to different genres.
Amid such heavy competition, K RAMP’s target is no small thing. According to trade sources, the film needs around ₹8 crore to break even across India, which means it must gross ₹16 crore overall. Normally, that’s not a scary figure — but the box office conditions right now aren’t entirely favorable. If the content doesn’t click, theatres empty out by evening. On the other hand, if it receives a positive talk like Little Hearts, it could cross ₹30 crore and continue its run strongly.
For K RAMP, youth support will be crucial. If it strikes a chord with younger audiences, that alone can ensure its success.
Meanwhile, Kiran Abbavaram recently made headlines with his statement about Tamil Nadu not allotting theatres for Telugu films. He’s now in a phase where he must solidly prove his box-office strength. There’s also been criticism over a few adult dialogues in K RAMP. Reportedly, considering family audiences, the makers have trimmed down lip-lock scenes that were shot earlier.
Whether these changes will help the film or not — we’ll have to wait until next week to find out. With five films currently in hand, if K RAMP turns out to be a hit, it will give a massive business boost to all of Kiran Abbavaram’s upcoming projects.
