Jason Sanjay Turns Director

Kollywood star Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay has surprised everyone by choosing direction over acting and beginning a new journey in cinema. His upcoming action-adventure comedy Sigma stars Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah in lead roles. Produced by Subaskaran under Lyca Productions, the film is currently under production and is slated for release on July 31. Amid this, rumors about Jason making his acting debut are also gaining traction.

In a recent interview, Jason Sanjay revealed that Sundeep Kishan was his first choice when planning the film as a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. He said the actor immediately agreed after liking the story, characterization, and screenplay. Addressing expectations, Jason noted that many assumed he would debut with a romantic story, but he preferred a heist-based adventure with a gang backdrop. He clarified that he would consider acting only after the release of Sigma. Reflecting on his journey, he shared that growing up around film sets and watching movies globally helped him develop storytelling skills from a young age.
