After a wait of seven months, 'Jana Nayagan', starring Vijay and directed by H. Vinoth, is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24. The makers have completed the 12 modifications suggested by the Censor Board, which granted the film an 'A' certificate. While the Indian version will be released with the mandated edits, audiences in the United Kingdom will get to watch the uncut version, as it has been cleared without any cuts.
Another notable change is the film's title card. Following Vijay's assumption of office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the title card has reportedly been updated from 'Thalapathy Vijay' to 'Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay'. The Censor Board also directed the removal of dialogues referring to Vijay's political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), along with muting certain words and deleting a few scenes. Reports suggest that the film's release trailer will be unveiled shortly.
