Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on July 23 and has already created tremendous buzz with its advance bookings. Although ticket sales are yet to begin in Tamil Nadu, selected theatres in Bengaluru opened bookings early, and first-day first-show tickets, especially the 6 AM screenings, were sold out within minutes. The response highlights Vijay’s strong fan following beyond Tamil Nadu. However, Bengaluru’s popular Victory Cinema reportedly opted out of screening the film due to financial disagreements with the producers.
The film is scheduled to release on 7,000 to 8,000 screens across more than 30 countries, placing it among the biggest Indian releases alongside Pushpa 2 and Jawan. Trade reports suggest that pre-sales have already crossed ₹4 crore, while bookings in Tamil Nadu are expected to open on July 19. After facing delays during the censor process over a few objections, Jana Nayagan has finally received an ‘A’ certificate following the required modifications.
