Master storyteller SS Rajamouli has finally responded to the buzzing comparisons between his upcoming magnum opus 'Varanasi' and James Cameron’s visual wonder 'Avatar'. Addressing the rumors that 'Varanasi' will match the visual scale of 'Avatar', the filmmaker displayed his trademark humility. "Don't Compare Me to James Cameron" Responding to the high expectations, Rajamouli stated, "It is an immense honor to be compared to someone like James Cameron. However, please do not compare me with him. He is like a mountain—a true master of the craft. I am still a student constantly learning." The Challenge of a 3-Hour Plus Runtime Rajamouli also shared crucial details about the film's progression and its massive scale. He revealed that 'Varanasi' is shaping up to be a lengthy cinematic journey with a runtime of 3 hours and 20 minutes. "We are working incredibly hard on this project. In an era where audiences pick up their phones if they feel bored even for three minutes, keeping them glued to their seats for 200 minutes is a huge challenge. Every scene is being crafted with extreme care to ensure a fresh and gripping experience for the viewers," Rajamouli added. The director's commitment to delivering a "no-boredom" experience despite the lengthy duration has further piqued the interest of cinema lovers globally.
