Senior producer and distributor Natti Kumar has strongly opposed any move to block the release of Ram Charan’s upcoming film ‘Peddi’. Speaking at a press meet in Hyderabad, he said that while exhibitors’ issues must be addressed, creating hurdles for a major film release is not justified. He highlighted that a sub-committee has already been formed under the Film Chamber with producers, distributors, and exhibitors to resolve the percentage issue through discussions.
Natti Kumar warned that he is ready to launch a hunger strike if the release of ‘Peddi’ is obstructed. He alleged that certain major producers are influencing Telangana exhibitors. He also pointed out that the film is facing no such issues in Andhra Pradesh. He added that if a solution is not reached by Tuesday, he will begin an indefinite hunger strike in front of the Film Chamber from Wednesday.
