Raghava Lawrence created a huge market for horror comedy films in South India with the successful “Muni” and “Kanchana” franchises. The series entertained audiences for years with a mix of horror, comedy, and emotional storytelling. Now, as work on “Kanchana 4” begins, strong buzz in Kollywood suggests that Lawrence may be planning to end the popular franchise with this installment.
Reports say Lawrence wants to move away from repeating the same formula and focus on fresh concepts and new cinematic universes after “Kanchana 4”. Fans, however, are hoping the franchise continues because every part of the series received massive support from family audiences. Industry circles also say the upcoming film is being planned on a huge budget with advanced visual effects and stronger horror elements than before.
