Buchi Babu Sana, who created a sensation with Uppena, reportedly could not achieve the expected result with Peddhi, starring Ram Charan. Similarly, Srikanth Odela, who earned appreciation with Dasara, faced a mixed response from audiences to The Paradise, starring Nani. Excessive violence and shortcomings in the narrative, in particular, became points of discussion.

Attention has now shifted to Vrushakarma, the upcoming film by another of Sukumar’s protégés, Karthik Dandu. After the success of Virupaksha, he is directing the film with Naga Chaitanya. The project has already generated interest among audiences. This has led to curiosity over whether Karthik Dandu can break the discussion surrounding the second-film sentiment seen among some of Sukumar’s protégés.
