Actor Rajinikanth shared an emotional experience during the ‘World Meditates with Gurudev’ event held as part of the 45th anniversary celebrations of the Art of Living centre in Bengaluru. He said that wherever he usually goes, fans surround him for autographs and selfies, but at the ashram no one paid attention to him. Rajinikanth recalled that when Gurudev invited him onto the stage, he expected people to react excitedly, but the audience remained completely focused on Gurudev instead.
The veteran actor said the moment humbled him deeply and made him realize how temporary stardom truly is. Rajinikanth stated that fame may come and go, but the position and influence of spiritual gurus remain eternal even after their lifetime. Through a short story, he explained that even kings must bow before a guru. The event was attended by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and several Christian religious leaders from Karnataka.
