The upcoming magnum opus ‘Ramayana’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has become one of the most talked-about projects in Indian cinema. Designed to present India’s legendary epic on a global scale, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Reports suggest that more than 10,000 technicians, artists and VFX professionals are involved in the making of the film, making it one of the largest mythological productions ever attempted in India.
The film is being planned as a two-part cinematic spectacle with Hollywood-level visual standards. International VFX studios are reportedly working on the project, while massive sets reflecting Indian culture are being constructed. Yash playing Ravana has added tremendous buzz around the film, and he is also backing the project as a co-producer. Sunny Deol is expected to appear as Hanuman. The makers are reportedly targeting Diwali 2026 for Part 1 and Diwali 2027 for Part 2.
