Tamil actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s final film ‘Jana Nayagan’ is set to release worldwide on July 23. After facing several postponements, the film has completed censor and legal procedures and is ready for theatrical release. Director H. Vinoth described the movie as a project that could give a new identity to Vijay’s political journey. The film is scheduled to release across around 8,000 screens in 30 countries and has reportedly collected Rs 15.22 crore through advance bookings.

The director revealed that the film was developed with several changes inspired by the basic storyline of ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ while adapting it to Vijay’s image. The movie reportedly includes action sequences inspired by the Ukraine-Russia drone war. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead, while Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee, and Nelson Dilipkumar will appear in special scenes. Reports suggest Vijay directed some portions of the climax. The ‘A’ certified film has a runtime of 183 minutes and will release in Telugu and Hindi as well.
