Expectations are increasing day by day for ‘Ramayana’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. The makers are aiming to present the Indian epic as a world-class visual spectacle for global audiences. Producer Namit Malhotra revealed that the film is being developed on a scale comparable to international Hollywood films like ‘Dune’ and ‘The Odyssey’. He stated that the project will introduce Indian culture and mythology to audiences worldwide in a new and grand way.
Namit Malhotra said that a US audience member expressed excitement about watching one of the world’s oldest stories on the big screen. He added that presenting Indian mythology with international standards is their responsibility at a time when global viewers are looking for fresh storytelling. Yash will portray Ravana, Sunny Deol will play Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey will appear as Lakshman. The first part is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, while the second part will arrive in 2027. The first look will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23, followed by the trailer launch on July 24.
