Born on January 11, 1964 in Ravulapalem, B. Jaya is an educated person. She has completed degrees in English Literature, Journalism, and Psychology. She started her career as a journalist in Andhra Jyothi and Indian Express, and quickly gained recognition as a writer who expresses her opinions frankly. Her passion for films led her to enter the film industry and become an assistant director, which was a turning point in her life.
After marrying B.A. Raju, a film journalist and PRO, the couple became a power couple in the industry. The fact that they founded the super hit film weekly in 1994 and published it without missing a single issue for decades is a testament to their professional commitment.
With the support of her husband, B. Jaya realized her dream of directing. After supervising the production of Prema Lo Pavani Kalyan, she made her debut as a director with the film Chantigadu and achieved great success. The film ran for 100 days in 25 centers. After that, she further strengthened her position with hit films like Premikulu, Gundamma Gari Manavadu, Lovely and Vaisakham.
Not limited to films, she had a personality that was affectionate with everyone in the industry. Although her death in 2018 left the film industry in mourning, B.
