Political fervor is intensifying in Tamil Nadu as the state assembly elections approach. Against this backdrop, while actor Vijay has fielded candidates on behalf of his party, director Sundar C is also contesting the election from the Madurai Central constituency. Sundar has made it clear that, despite being in the electoral fray himself, he will not level any criticism against Vijay or his party.
He cited his personal family ties as the reason for this stance. He explained that his wife, Khushbu, regards Vijay as a younger brother, and that a bond of mutual respect exists between them. Sundar noted that, having entertained the public through his films thus far, he is now embarking on a new journey in politics. He appealed to the people to extend the same level of support to him in this new endeavor.
Contesting as part of the NDA alliance, Sundar C is running on behalf of the Puthiya Needhi Katchi party. He expressed the view that the primary electoral battle in Madurai Central would be fought among other political parties, and that the influence of Vijay's party in this constituency would be minimal. Meanwhile, he continues to remain busy with new projects in his film career as well.
