The successful duo Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati, who recently delivered blockbuster films like Little Hearts, Raju Weds Rambhai and Eesha, are now bringing a full-length out-and-out entertainer titled “Hey Balwanth” (title changed from Hey Bhagwan) under the banners of Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vaas Works.
The film stars Suhas, Shivani Nagaram, senior actor Naresh and anchor Sravanti in key roles. Directed by Gopi Achhar, the movie is produced by B. Narendra Reddy under the Trishul Visionary Studios banner. The movie is set to release on February 20. On this occasion, hero Suhas interacted with the media on Tuesday. Here are the highlights.
He stated that the title was changed from ‘Hey Bhagavan’ to ‘Hey Balwanth’ following suggestions from the Censor Board. Since the word “Bhagavan” could be interpreted as referring to God, objections were raised, prompting the team to modify not only the film’s title but also the name of Naresh’s character in the movie. He mentioned that he immediately agreed to the project upon hearing the story, as it strongly appealed to him with its blend of entertainment and emotional depth. The film revolves around a young man who aspires to become a businessman from a young age and seeks to take over his father’s business, highlighting the challenges and events he encounters along the way. Although the movie was completed in a limited number of working days, he emphasized that there was no compromise on quality and expressed confidence that the film would bring him significant success.
Speaking about his career, he said he continues to wait for success with patience and prepares for his next project even after facing setbacks. Following a series of failures, he chose ‘Hey Balwanth’ carefully, taking time to select a strong script, with encouragement from his family to focus on meaningful films. The entire team is confident about the project, and he believes it will achieve major success. He also revealed that he is playing the main antagonist in the Tamil film ‘Mandadi’, where he will appear in a distinct and different look. While he has predominantly portrayed serious roles in the past, this film will showcase a comedic shade in his performance. He expressed complete satisfaction with his career journey so far.
Additionally, he shared that he is working on a film under Karthik Subbaraj’s banner, with the story provided by Karthik Subbaraj and direction handled by his associate. He is also listening to several Telugu scripts and indicated that new projects are likely to be finalized soon.
