Actress Samyuktha, who plays a key role in Akhanda 2: Tandavam, shared her experience ahead of the film’s release. After Virupaksha, she received many offers but chose only the stories she connected with. She had earlier signed Bimbisara, Virupaksha, Sir, and Bheemla Nayak around the same time, though their releases were spaced out. Later she went on to sign Swayambhu, Naari Naari, Akhanda 2, and a film with Puri Jagannadh. She joined Akhanda 2 immediately after hearing the narration and got her dates adjusted, praising Boyapati Sreenu’s grand vision. She revealed that her character appears in a stylish look and plays a crucial role in major sequences. Although she initially felt nervous doing a mass song, she practiced intensely; even after knee pain from rehearsals, physiotherapy helped her complete the shoot.
Talking about working with Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyuktha said he is extremely friendly, down-to-earth, and highly dedicated to following the director’s vision. She first met him during an ad shoot, and also appreciated his passion toward Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. She mentioned seeing the viral meme from the Vizag event, saved all of them, and said Balakrishna laughed when she showed them. Speaking about Thaman’s music, she said the songs have received a great response, with the album feeling like a tribute to Lord Shiva, especially with its powerful Sanskrit lyrics and carefully crafted background score. Her favourite Balakrishna film is Daku Maharaj, which she said performed well even in Kerala, and she has also watched Akhanda.
Samyuktha added that although many mythological roles came her way, she never planned it — they happened naturally. She said she is very spiritual, a deep subject that deserves a separate interview. She praised producers Ram and Gopi Achanta for their strong support and nationwide promotions, saying such a massive film is possible only with dedicated producers. Appreciating the Telugu film industry, she said the audience celebrate cinema at another level, and seeing their first-day celebrations feels like experiencing success. Her upcoming projects include an action role in Swayambhu, a strong character in Naari Naari with Sharwanand, and she described working with Puri Jagannadh as a great experience.
