Dulquer Salmaan’s I Am Game has arrived in theatres with considerable expectations, marking the actor’s 40th film. Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, known for RDX, and produced under the Wayfarer Films banner, the film features Dulquer as Don John, a lucky gambler. The first half has received appreciation for its fantasy elements, fast-paced action blocks and Dulquer’s stylish screen presence, particularly in the bar fight and interval sequence.

However, the second half appears to have divided audiences. The slowdown in narrative, weaker dialogues and editing issues have affected the overall pace. While Dulquer’s mannerisms and action sequences are being appreciated by his fans, the film has reportedly failed to fully connect with some regular moviegoers. Mysskin, Antony Varghese and Kalyani Priyadarshan are also part of the cast, while Jakes Bejoy’s background score has been praised for enhancing the action sequences. Meanwhile, technical issues affected the Telugu version on the opening day, forcing the cancellation of morning and matinee shows. Efforts are reportedly underway to resolve the issue and resume Telugu screenings from the night shows.
