Despite being mounted on a lavish scale, Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart has failed to impress at the box office. Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the film was reportedly made with a budget of nearly ₹60 crore. However, after completing 10 days in theatres, the movie managed to recover only around 28.36% of its investment. Trade circles believe that devotional and Hindutva-themed films usually enjoy strong audience support, but this film could not convert that sentiment into commercial success.
Many expected the movie to repeat the success of Mahavatar Narasimha, which became a major hit last year. Even with grand visuals, rich production values and a devotional backdrop, the audience response remained underwhelming. Trade analysts say the current collections were achieved mainly because of the film’s spiritual theme. They feel stronger emotional storytelling and better word of mouth could have pushed the film into the profit zone much earlier.
