Director Anil Ravipudi’s latest film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Chiranjeevi, released as a Sankranti treat and recorded a huge opening day collection of ₹84 crores. At a special “Mega Blockbuster Thank You Meet”, Anil, along with producers Sahu Garapati and Susmitha Konidela, answered media questions about the film and its success.
Anil explained that using Ilayaraja’s songs was simple, as the proper permissions were obtained without any legal issues. Producer Sahu Garapati expects total collections of ₹400–500 crores. Regarding a controversial scene showing women in trouble, Anil humorously said he is ready to face any legal consequences, clarifying that the scene was meant to highlight misuse of laws and not to offend anyone.
On Chiranjeevi’s fee, Anil revealed that the superstar was paid according to the budget and his stature, keeping in mind that the producer is his daughter. Susmitha confirmed they plan to show the film to Pawan Kalyan depending on his availability. Anil also shared that working with stars like Venkatesh, Nayanthara and Balakrishna was a unique experience and a similar project with Nagarjuna could happen in the future. He credited Chiranjeevi for giving him a “mini challenge” to complete the script in 25 days and expressed happiness at being compared to iconic director Rajamouli, calling it a big achievement.
