Following the nationwide success of 'Kantara', actor Rishab Shetty is set to headline another ambitious historical epic. Director Sandeep Singh is bringing the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to the big screen through 'The Pride of Bharat', a two-part film being mounted on a massive budget of around ₹500 crore. The makers aim to recreate Shivaji Maharaj’s legendary battles and leadership using world-class cinematic technology.
To elevate the film’s action sequences, the production has roped in Mark Henson's Hollywood action team, known for working on international projects such as 'Game of Thrones' and 'Vikings'. Rishab Shetty is expected to begin work on the film after completing 'Jai Hanuman'. The film will be shot across historic locations in Maharashtra and features Shefali Shah as Rajmata Jijabai, Vivek Oberoi as Aurangzeb, and Arjun Rampal in a pivotal role.
