Nandamuri Balakrishna, popularly known as the "God of Masses", is riding high on a streak of blockbusters. After the massive success of Veera Simha Reddy, he has teamed up once again with hitmaker Gopichand Malineni. Their new collaboration, titled NBK111, is being mounted as a grand historical epic under the prestigious Vruddhi Cinemas banner, with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing. Nayanthara plays the female lead in this project, marking her fourth film with Balakrishna after Simha, Jai Simha, and Sri Rama Rajyam.
The film was formally launched in Hyderabad with an elaborate puja ceremony. Andhra Pradesh ministers Anagani Satyaprasad and Gottipati Ravi Kumar handed over the script to the makers. Veteran director B. Gopal, who has delivered multiple blockbusters with Balakrishna, gave the first clap. Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini switched on the camera. The first shot was directed jointly by Boyapati Sreenu, Bobby, and Buchi Babu Sana.
For the first time, Gopichand Malineni is stepping into the historical drama genre. The makers say Balakrishna will be seen in a never-before avatar. The special poster released on the occasion showcased Balakrishna with a sword in one hand and an anchor in the other, exuding an intense regal aura. His bearded look, long hair, and warrior-like appearance created a strong impression. Details about the remaining cast and technical crew will be announced soon.
