Actor Rana Daggubati has highlighted the changing mindset of Indian movie audiences. According to Rana, viewers who once primarily chose films based on a hero’s star power are increasingly paying attention to the director’s brand, storytelling and filmmaking style.

Rana pointed out that audiences today are showing strong interest in films by filmmakers such as S.S. Rajamouli, Nag Ashwin, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prashanth Neel, regardless of the lead actor. His comments reflect the growing recognition of a director’s vision and creative identity, marking a shift from traditional star-driven cinema to director-led filmmaking.
