Telugu film director Harish Shankar recently spoke about the difficult phase he experienced at the beginning of his career. He revealed that director Puri Jagannadh supported him when his first film did not achieve the expected success.
According to Harish Shankar, Puri Jagannadh kept him close as a writer for nearly two to three years and helped him during that challenging time. He said that when he had family responsibilities and was going through a tough period, Puri encouraged him and gave him opportunities. Harish Shankar added that he will never forget the support he received from him.
Harish Shankar started his journey in the film industry as an assistant director and made his directorial debut with the 2006 film “Shock.” However, the major turning point in his career came with the film “Gabbar Singh,” starring Pawan Kalyan. The movie became a blockbuster and established Harish Shankar as a well-known director in Tollywood.
He later continued his success with mass entertainers such as “Mirapakay,” “Subramanyam for Sale,” “DJ,” and Gaddalakonda Ganesh. Currently, he is once again working with Pawan Kalyan on the film Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
