There is massive anticipation surrounding ‘Jananayagan’, the final film of Tamil Nadu CM and Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay. Directed by H. Vinoth, this political action drama features Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju in key roles. Originally planned for a Sankranti release, the film was delayed due to censor issues and is now set for a worldwide release on July 23. During promotions, Vinoth revealed that Pooja Hegde plays a journalist, but some of her scenes had to be cut due to the film’s lengthy runtime. He also mentioned apologizing to her for the same.
Speaking about Mamitha Baiju, Vinoth said he was impressed by her performance in ‘Premalu’. While both Sreeleela and Mamitha were considered for Vijay’s daughter’s role, the team ultimately chose Mamitha. He praised her energy, calling her a “lady Vijay.” He added that her role in ‘Dude’ was unique and might have been rejected by others. Impressed by her performance, Vijay himself suggested giving her more action scenes in the film. As these comments go viral, there is speculation about whether this film will help Pooja Hegde, who has been facing a series of flops.
