Bollywood director Rohit Shetty faced a terrifying attack at his residence on Sunday early morning when five accused opened fire near his house. The police quickly apprehended the five suspects identified as Aman Anand Amrot, Swapnil Bandhu Saketh, Siddharth Deepak Inpure, Samarth Shiv Sharan Pomaji, and Aditya Jnaneshwar. They were presented in court on Sunday night, and the court granted police custody until February 5. Preliminary investigations suggest the accused targeted Rohit Shetty to intimidate him.
Further investigation revealed that the conspiracy was orchestrated by the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Members of the gang, including Shubham Langkore, Arju Bishnoi, and Hari Boxer, openly admitted their involvement on Facebook. They warned that previous warnings to Shetty were ignored and claimed that their attack was only a “trailer” of what could follow. Police confirmed that Shubham Langkore, a suspect in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, played a key role in planning the attack, with the main shooter Aman Anand Amrot firing four rounds at the house before fleeing. Authorities have stated that the case is being treated with utmost seriousness.
