

At a special event on Saturday, the teaser of the biopic Ghantasala The Great, which is about the legendary singer Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, was released. The film is directed by C.H. Rama Rao, who also wrote the screenplay and story. It is produced by C.H. Phani under the Anyukth Ram Pictures banner. Ghantasala is portrayed by Krishna Chaitanya, Savitramma by Mridula, young Ghantasala by Atulitha, and a significant role is played by senior actor Suman. Aditya Hasan, the main guest, opened the teaser by describing the script as "deeply emotional" and reminiscing about his emotional bond with director Rama Rao. On December 12, the movie will be released.
Krishna Chaitanya said during the event that playing such a legendary musical icon was a blessing. He disclosed that viewers of the preview were moved to tears and wished for the blessings of SPB and Ghantasala to guide the movie. "The film captures the man behind the voice his values, struggles, and greatness," director Rama Rao said. He added that despite efforts to halt the movie, it will be released on time.
Members of the industry commended the team for their bravery in producing a biopic of this magnitude. Shobha Rani emphasized Ghantasala's legacy as a musical genius and freedom fighter, while Ramasatya Narayana Raju likened its emotional depth to Mahanati. Karri Balaji liked the characters' sense of realism. The team is certain that the December 12 release will pay tribute to one of India's greatest voices, with music by Saluri Vasu Rao and cinematography by Venu Muralidhar.
