Talented director Merlapaka Gandhi is gearing up for the release of his latest film Korean Kanakaraju, starring Varun Tej and Ritika Nayak, which is set to hit theatres on August 7. As part of the film’s promotions, the director shared interesting insights about a missed opportunity to work with Ram Charan. Gandhi revealed that after the success of Express Raja, he got a chance to collaborate with Ram Charan under the UV Creations banner and even narrated a story to the star.
However, he admitted that while the storyline was promising, he was not completely satisfied with the script. Gandhi stated that he did not want to proceed without full confidence in the project and conveyed the same to Ram Charan and the production house. He appreciated their positive response, as they encouraged him to move forward only when he was fully convinced. Later, he developed Krishnarjuna Yuddham and narrated it to Nani, who liked the story. Although both expected the film to perform well, it did not achieve the anticipated success at the box office.
