Producers Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta have declared that Akhanda 2: Thandavam will surpass all expectations and deliver goosebumps moments throughout the film. Speaking at a press meet, the duo expressed full confidence that the Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu blockbuster combination has created a divine action spectacle that must be experienced on the big screen. The film, presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri and scored by S Thaman, will release worldwide in both 2D and 3D formats on December 5, 2025, with premiers likely on the evening of December 4 once permissions are received.
The makers revealed that the movie was extensively shot at the actual Kumbh Mela with special permissions, including drone shots, and the climax was filmed in freezing minus-degree temperatures in Georgia after Kashmir became unavailable. They emphasised that the story revolves around Sanatan Dharma, faith and devotion, and features never-seen-before action sequences with the trishul. The producers confirmed it is a true pan-India release in all south languages, Hindi and even the Awadhi dialect spoken in Bihar, while asserting that the film’s content naturally connects globally without any forced changes.
