On the occasion of the 30th death anniversary of legendary actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), members of the Nandamuri family, film personalities, political leaders, and fans paid heartfelt tributes at Film Nagar. Floral wreaths were offered at the iconic NTR statue as people gathered in large numbers to commemorate the life and legacy of the legendary leader.
Several prominent personalities from the Telugu film industry participated in the programme and shared their memories. Kaja Suryanarayana said NTR was the undisputed number one figure in Telugu cinema history and remarked that many political leaders today would not have risen without the establishment of the Telugu Desam Party. He described NTR and Akkineni Nageswara Rao as the two eyes of the Telugu film industry and expressed his wish to see an ANR statue installed as well.

Veterans including Madala Ravi, Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Prasanna Kumar, and YVS Chowdary recalled NTR’s unmatched contribution to cinema, politics, and Telugu pride. Speakers highlighted his discipline, dedication, fearless leadership, and lasting influence on generations. They emphasized that NTR was not merely an actor or politician but a symbol of Telugu self-respect whose legacy continues to inspire even three decades after his passing.
